February 13 - February 19
1. Loudoun Love Letters with Loudoun County Libraries - Send valentines and cards to residents of local nursing homes and assisted living facilities, many of whom continue to be isolated due to COVID-19. Pick up cards at the library or make your own. Be creative!
2. Dad & Me Princess Ball! @ Bella Ballerina Northern Virginia - Bring out your fancy ball gowns and suits for a magical evening of princess and dad bonding! Dad's and their princesses will participate in a royal dance, have a royal treat and finish with a fancy photoshoot. Dads will receive a SPECIAL gift to give to their dancer for letting them share the moment.
3. Conscious Birthing Partner Prenatal Yoga @ Easy Day Yoga - So grab a partner and follow the instructions to bring more connection in your yoga practice! And remember that the key to success in prenatal partner yoga is communication, so make sure to tell your partner if you need more or less resistance, or if you need to get out of a pose.
4. Makerspace Make & Take: Valentine's Bracelet @ Gum Spring Library - Make a bracelet for yourself or for someone special. Available while supplies last.
5. DROP-IN BASKETBALL @ Lovettsville Community Center - (Ages 12 & up) Enjoy playing pickup basketball with others from the local community.
6. FREE Self Defense Workshop! - Come and take a FREE self-defense class and feel stronger and more prepared to defend yourself if necessary! Open to anyone in the community, ages 16 and up. Learn some of the basic strikes you can use immediately, and common ways you might be grabbed.
7. Soar Together @ Air and Space Virtual Family Day: What's Beyond Our Solar System? - Soar Together @ Air and Space is a monthly virtual family program from the National Air and Space Museum. Through live events and interactive activities you can do anytime, your family can explore a different air and space topic every month.
8. Sweetheart Dance @ Dulles South Recreation and Community Center - (All Ages) Whether your sweetheart is a parent, grandparent, mom, dad, daughter, or son; join us for an evening of dancing, games, and refreshments.
9. Polar Plunge with Park Valley Church @ Leesylvania State Park - Join Park Valley Church as we love our Special Needs community at this year's Polar Plunge! We will meet at the church at 10am or you can meet us at the event at 11am and the plunge into the Potomac River is around 1pm. This is a fun activity where we will meet and make a lot of new friends.
10. Ties and Tiaras @ Claude Moore Recreation Center - (Ages 2-14) Join us for our annual Father - Daughter Dance: Ties and Tiaras. Make memories with fun music and dancing, activities, crafts, games, and Moore!
