DIY Beignets

Ingredients:

  • Premade dough
  • Flour
  • Vegetable oil
  • Powdered sugar

Note: You can use refrigerated biscuit dough, pizza crust, or even crescent roll dough.

Instructions:

  1. Flour your work surface, spread out the dough, and use a pizza cutter to cut the dough into squares. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan or pot while you do this.
  2. Fry the dough until golden brown.
  3. Remove fried beignets from the oil and place on a paper towel to soak up excess oil.
  4. Put about 2 cups of powdered sugar into a paper bag. Add the fried beignets to the bag and shake to get a good coating of powdered sugar on the beignets. Enjoy!
