Top 10 Events in Loudoun: September 11th - September 17th

You can check out our full event calendar here but below are our Top 10 picks for events and activity ideas happening in and around Loudoun County this week. Don't miss out on all the fun, and please be sure to let them know you saw it in Macaroni Kid Loudoun!

September 11th - September 17th


1. Pancake Breakfast at the Fire House @ Ashburn Volunteer Fire Rescue Department - Come out and support the AVFRD (Station 6)  with a delicious stack of pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, juice, tea, and coffee!  Breakfast will be served from 8am-Noon.  Tickets are available at the door! 


2. Grandparents Day @ Banshee Reeks, Leesburg - Spend some quality time with the grandparents in your life exploring Banshee Reeks in honor of National Grandparents Day. Stop by the Visitor Center to pick up a family scavenger hunt challenge and a special gift for all grandparents. Be sure to take a family photo overlooking the meadow.


3. Mini Halloween Monster Blocks @ AR Workshop Leesburg - Come to AR Workshop and enjoy a spooky good time! At this workshop, you can make a Set of 3 or 5 Mini Monster 3"x6" Wood Blocks. Perfect for the Kids or the whole Family!


4.  Family Archery @ Claude Moore Community Center, Sterling - Let the arrows fly with friends and family. Learn the basics and safety, then practice your aim while playing archery games. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.


5. Story Time at The Clothing Closet - As a way to offer A Bit More to the community, we are hosting Story Time for children every week in the store. Stop in and enjoy a Bible story or a classic children's tale! 


6. Party in the Park Celebration @ Philomont Community Center -  Start your weekend out the right way by joining all your friends at Philomont Community Center’s Party in the Park! Join your friends on our large playground, outdoor basketball court, or open area for basketball, flag football, and kickball! Travel just six miles from Purcellville for a Party at the Park at Philomont Community Center. Admission includes popcorn and a slice of pizza or a Hot Dog!


7.  52nd Annual Bluemont Fair - Bring your family and friends to the 52nd Annual Bluemont Fair! Browse artisan crafts and enjoy local refreshments, beer and music while experiencing the history and traditions of the area. Grab a bite to eat while children enjoy the Children’s Fair. Breathe in some mountain air, have fun, learn something new, and start checking off that holiday gift list, all for less than the price of a movie.


8.  Fall Festival @ Claude Moore Park - Spend a beautiful fall day outdoors at CMP! Enjoy music and pumpkin painting. Explore an interesting trade with fiber arts. Shop from hand-made crafts for sale by local artists. View the amazing work of entrants to the Friends of CMP’s 13th Annual Photo Expo. Food available for purchase. No registration required. 


9. Festival of India in Ashburn - We are thrilled to invite you, your family, and friends to our 2nd Annual Festival of India in Ashburn. The festival is a great opportunity to learn about the art & culture of India, specifically the culture of the Hare Krishnas. The Festival will feature a parade, music & performances, free vegetarian food & bake goods, exhibits & presentations, books on yoga & meditation, mantra booth, children's activities, and much more. 


10. September Glow Skate @ The Craft of Brewing - Glow Skate Nite is on Saturday, 09/17/22 from 7 PM - 8:30 PM at TCOB in Ashburn, VA. This is a FREE event for all ages/wheels are welcome. Wear your favorite autumn colors, shop small businesses and hang out with fellow DMV skaters!
