Top 10 Events in Loudoun: August 21st- August 27th

You can check out our full event calendar here but below are our Top 10 picks for events and activity ideas happening in and around Loudoun County this week. Don't miss out on all the fun, and please be sure to let them know you saw it in Macaroni Kid Loudoun!

August 21st - August 27th


1. Sunflower Fest @ Dirt Farm Brewing - As you drive past the crops at the bottom of the mountain, you will notice our sunflower patch is beginning to bloom with a bright yellow array of sunflowers! We are anticipating peak bloom on the weekends of August 20-21 + 27-28! Join us Saturday & Sunday for the perfect sunflower field photo-op, and pick some to brighten your day! 


2. Dulles Summer Bash @ 3C-Dulles - The whole family is invited out to enjoy our Summer Bash! We will have free haircuts by Faded Inc, music, rock wall competitions, free food, and back-to-school giveaways!


3. Catch the Bus @ Ashburn Library - Get ready for school. Meet a friendly Loudoun County Public School bus driver, learn about riding the bus and take your turn boarding. Meet outside by the bus.  


4. Mommy & Me Yoga @ Middleburg Community Center - This class provides moms the opportunity to regain strength and tone muscle while bonding, and playing with their babies. You and your baby will play and practice yoga while you explore movement and connect with other moms and babies.


5. Makerspace: Zippered Bag @ Sterling Library - Learn sewing techniques, including how to sew a zipper, to make a small bag. Recommended for ages 9 and up. First come, first served while supplies last. 


6. Weekly Children's Story Time @ Birch Tree Books - Join us every Thursday morning here at Birch Tree Bookstore for a children's story time! This free community event is held in the Cowbell Kitchen Courtyard right behind our shop, perfect for parents to grab a coffee and pastry beforehand.


7. Quilting Bee @ Loudoun Heritage Farm Museum - Join us to create 12" quilt squares.  No experience necessary.  Recommended for ages 8 and up.  Adults are welcome too.  Squares will be joined and quilted for donation to The Homeless Remembrance Project for an art installation at the US Capitol on 12/21/22. These quilts will be then given to the homeless.


8. Dog Day Celebration @ Breaux Vineyards - Join us for our second Dog Days event of the year! Bring your furry friends out for a fun day filled with live music, food trucks, local vendors, dog adoption opportunities & more! We will also be having a Best Dressed Dog contest!!! 


9. Open Late Concert Series 2022 @ National Sporting Library and Museum - Bring your chairs or blanket and enjoy a free concert on the lawn of the National Sporting Library & Museum. The concert and museum admission are free and open to the public from 6 to 8 pm. 


10. LVFC Monthly Pancake Breakfast - Please plan to join us for our May Drive-Thru Breakfast, downtown at Station 1.
