May 15th - 21st


1. Family Fishing Day @ Claude Moore Community Park - Enjoy a relaxing morning fishing at our stocked ponds. Don't worry if you don’t have equipment or experience. Staff will be available to provide assistance and bait. Poles are available on a first-come, first-served basis.


2. Hen and chicks Workshop @ The Clay and Metal Loft in Leesburg - Join us to learn pinch pot, sculpting and carving tips to make a one of a kind clucker and babies!!!


3. Teen Take & Grow: Dill Seedlings @ Brambleton Library - Grow your own fresh dill with a seedling from the Teen Center. Each plant has been hardened off and has simple instructions on how to transplant it into an 8” container or an outdoor herb garden.


4. Live Music in the Plaza Thursdays @ Cascades Overlook Town Center - Join us for FREE LIVE MUSIC on the Plaza, every Thursdays 6 - 9 pm. Bring a chair or use one of ours (if available) and enjoy the live music.


5. Fitness On The Plaza @ One Loudoun - Bring your fitness on! Join us for Zumba classes on the plaza and get active to the latest hits. This high-energy series is a well-attended community favorite. Attendance is free and open to the public.


6. Lopez Studios: Beauty and The Beast JR.-“Tale as Old as Time” @ Franklin Park Arts Center - Lopez Conservatory Program presents Beauty and the Beast JR. Based on the original Tony winning Broadway production, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. is a fantastic adaptation of the story of transformation and tolerance. The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. if the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. 


7. Baby Animals & Campfire @ Claude Moore Community Park - Discover how animals raise their young as you explore the park for homes and dens. Find out how baby animals hide and how they keep themselves safe. Stop by the campfire after the walk for toasted marshmallows (provided, Halal available). 


8. Dirt Day with Loudoun Heritage Farm Museum @ Claude Moore Community Park - Get ready to get dirty with a variety of soil activities.  Be prepared to get dirty! New this year will be a beer garden featuring farm breweries. Separate drink fees apply.   


9. 9th Annual Downtown Fest at One Loudoun - Downtown Fest is back this year! Join us for a day of family fun including live music, games, a Beer Garden, photo ops, delicious food and MORE!


10. Glow Skate Nite @ The Craft of Brewing - Join us for a Glow Skate on May 21st from 7 PM - 8:30 PM at The Craft of Brewing in Ashburn, VA. This is a FREE event, all ages/wheels are welcome. Join us for an evening skate with amazing raffles sponsored by skate companies across the USA. Wear your favorite glow-in-the-dark gear! Did you know you don't need to skate to enjoy yourself! TCOB has games, patio seating & pool tables so you can watch other people skate and/or enjoy a drink all while listening to our community-created skate playlist! Did we mention all wheels are welcome? Bring your board and hit our Two-Tias Skate DIY rail (ground level).
