May 8th - 14th


1. Planetarium shows: What’s up? @ Franklin Park Arts Center -  Step inside our Digitalis Delta 4 inflatable planetarium to experience the wonder of space and learn to identify constellations. Learn to use a star chart to identify and find constellations and find out what’s up in the night sky. Program lasts 40 minutes, with an extra activity in our lobby before or after the planetarium program.


2. Open Gym @ Dulles Gymnastics Academy - Join us for the fun at Open Gym. Ages 6yrs and older. Times available on Sundays are 5pm-6:30pm, 6:30pm -8pm or 5pm-8pm. Preregister to enjoy open work on Tumbling, Bars, Beam, Vault and Trampoline! Great for gymnasts, cheerleaders, working karate skills or just to have fun!


3. Wakanda Scavenger Hunt @ Cascades Library - Find pictures of items from Wakanda in the Children's Area for the chance to win a book about Marvel's Black Panther.  


4. Superhero Lunch @ Claude Moore Community Center, Sterling - This lunch will bring out the superhero in all of us. Come dressed as your favorite superhero. We will have Peter Parker Pizza, Batman Brownies, and Superman's Power juice. Along with lunch, there will be many superhero games and activities.


5. Quilting Bee @ Loudoun Heritage Farm Museum - Join us to create 12" quilt squares.  No experience necessary.  Recommended for ages 8 and up.  Adults welcome too.  Squares will be joined and quilted for donation to The Homeless Remembrance Project for an art installation at the US Capitol on 12/21/22. These quilts will be then given to the homeless.


6. Dinosaur Drive-Thru @ Loudoun County Fairgrounds - Jurassic Wonder: Dinosaur Drive Thru "The Greatest Little Dinosaur Show on Earth!" Watch life-sized dinosaurs move and make real life sounds from the safety of your car! $12 Per Car.


7. Purcellville Bike & Safety Day - Be part of the Purcellville Bike and Safety Day!


8. Dog Day Celebration @ Breaux Vineyards - Join the volunteers and their fosters for Dog Days at Breaux Vineyards in Purcellville (36888 Breaux Vineyards Ln, Purcellville, VA 20132) from 11-6. Bring your 4-legged friends a day of fun at Breaux Vineyards this Summer. There will be live music, wine, dog rescue organizations, doggie based vendors, food vendors, and local crafters onsite for you to enjoy. Oh, and did we say wine? Don’t miss out on the fun!


9. KidStuff Swap - Free! @ Douglass Community Center, Leesburg - Time to clean out those closets and come pick up some clothes for your kids for Spring! Please plan to join us for a Potomac Hills Church Free KidStuff Swap at the Douglass Community Center Multipurpose Room.


10. LoCo Food Truck Festival @ Segra Field, Leesburg - PRCS (Parks and Recreation) is hosting the first-ever LoCo Food Truck Festival with food vendors, live entertainment and games! Bring the entire family out for this event! This event is free and open to the public. All food truck vendors will be responsible for selling their own products.
