2. Birding Bles Park @ Bles Park, Ashburn - Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy is pleased to announce a new regular bird walk at Bles Park located along the Potomac River in eastern Loudoun. More than 175 different species of birds have been observed at Bles Park in a great mix of habitat. Everyone is welcome, whether you are an experienced or beginning birder. Bring binoculars if you have them.
3. StoryWalk®:Little Smokey with Gum Spring Library - Get the whole family moving with a StoryWalk® around the pond next to Gum Spring Library as you read Little Smokey by Robert Neubecker. Complete the StoryWalk® between September 7 and September 20, then stop by the library to pick up your prize.
4. 51st Annual Bluemont Fair - Bring your family and friends to the annual Bluemont Fair and take a day to wander through our 200-year-old village nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains. Browse our artisan crafts and enjoy local wine, beer, and music, all while experiencing the history and traditions of our area. Grab a bite to eat or attend an archaeology demonstration while the children enjoy free games in the Children’s Fair or visit the petting zoo.
5. Shorties 4 Shorties @ Lovettsville Community Center - (Ages 3-5) Develop kicking, running, throwing, catching, and good sportsmanship skills. Instructor: Melissa Blankenship.
6. Oktoberfest Weekend at Flying Ace Farm - Join us Friday, Saturday & Sunday (September 24th-27th) for a family friendly Oktoberfest at Flying Ace Farm!
7. 2021 Leesburg Airshow - The 2021 Leesburg Airshow is back at the Leesburg Airport for 25 September 2021. The event will feature warbirds, civilian aerobatics, static displays, and parachute demonstrations. Admission to the Leesburg Airshow is free.
8. Autumn Apple Festival - Come out to our annual Apple Festival and enjoy apple machinery demonstrations, music, children's activities, moonbounce, apple tasting, and face painting. For additional cost (ticketed) will be a cake walk, cider/wine tasting garden, and raffle.
9. Paws in the Village: a Pet Festival @ Village at Leesburg - It's time for the annual pet festival with the Village at Leesburg! HSLC will be there along with other rescue organizations. Activities include pet portraits, a petting zoo, and even showcase a pet fashion show as well as lots of pet-friendly businesses under tents.
10. OCEAN EXPLORERS @ Sterling Community Center, Sterling - (Ages 3-5) Fourth Friday of the month. Take a dive in the deep blue sea! Children will explore different sea creatures, learn about their wet habitats, and complete a craft to take home.
