1. Apple Gala Festival Great Country Farms @ Great Country Farms, Bluemont - Join us for our annual Apple Gala Festival, taking place the whole month of September. Daily, you’ll enjoy apple picking in our orchards filled with over 50 varieties that ripen over time. Most of our trees are dwarf varieties so pick your own is easy for all members of the family. At times, there could be over 10 varieties available to pick your own at once!


2. Take & Make: Hot Air Balloon Craft @ Cascades Library - Create a hot air balloon and bird using cupcake liners. Ask for a kit at the front desk. 


3. Jazz Jams @ Mintons Academy of Music - Join us for a live jazz session. Open to musicians & listeners of all ages! Piano, drum set, and amps provided. Just show up with your instrument!  This event is FREE and open to all ages, so invite a friend, bring the family and help us continue to make this a regular jazz happening in northern Virginia.


4. Porktoberfest @ Old Ox Brewery - Celebrate your Labor Day Weekend with the release of our Oxtober Bier, a pig roast and other delicious pork dishes from RESQ BBQ Catering, live music by Rowdy Ace, vendors, games, and more! 


5. Story Stroll @ Gum Spring Library - Meet us at the StoryWalk® Welcome sign outside Gum Spring Library for stories and songs as we walk around the pond. Canceled in case of rain or temperatures above 90 degrees. For all ages, with a caregiver. Face masks and strollers welcome. 


6. Join Scouting Night @ Ashburn Elementary - Join Scouting Night is a recruiting event held at every elementary school to give the youth served by that school an opportunity to join Cub Scouts. ... Join Scouting Night should be a fun informative night for prospective families. The goal for the evening is to register youth in Cub Scouts.


7. Ceramic Pumpkin Patch Pre-Sale Event @ The Clay and Metal Loft in Leesburg - Buy your ticket today to have the first pick of your 2021 Ceramic Pumpkin Patch made by Amy Manson Pottery. Join us in the studio for Fall themed goodies and treats, music, and SHOPPING!!! Your $8 ticket gets you in the studio early for cider, great music, and first choice of the 2021 batch of ceramic art pumpkins.


8. Dog Swim @ Lovettsville Community Center, Lovettsville - (All ages and breeds) Join us as we turn over our pool to the dogs for our annual Dog Swim. Frisbees and balls are welcome. Only dogs permitted in pool. County Dog Licenses are mandatory.


9. Books & Badges @ Purcellville Library - Meet some local heroes at this fun-filled family storytime. 


10. Round Hill Appalachian Trail Festival @ B Chord Brewing, Round Hill - The Round Hill Appalachian Trail Festival toasts the beauty of the Trail with brews and bites, tunes, and talks. Expect a day of live music, trail talks, kids' activities, food and vendors. At this free, family-friendly event, we'll celebrate the A.T. and other outdoor opportunities in the area.
