May July 11th - July 17th
1. Free Slurpee Day @ 7-11 - Join us on Sunday, 7/11 from 11AM-7PM for a FREE small Slurpee!
2. Party in the Park Celebration @ Philomont Community Center, Philomont - Fun, food & friends on Friday in the Park at the Philomont Community Center! Enjoy the playground, basketball court, and our open area for a game of Kickball or Frisbee. Popcorn and snow cones offered! (weather permitting) (Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult.)
3. Movies under the Stars @ Loudoun County Courthouse Lawn, Leesburg - Enjoy a free movie under the stars this summer! Bring your family, food, and a blanket or lawn chairs but please leave your pets, glass containers, and alcohol at home. Each date will feature a different movie; showtime will begin at dusk. July 16: Family Night - Playing with Fire.
4. Goat Yoga in Purcellville - Goat Yoga is BACK! Join us at a beautiful, peaceful, private location in Purcellville for some gentle yoga and animal therapy.
5. Live Music by Tom Rhodes at Flying Ace Farm @ Flying Ace Farm - Join us on Saturday, July 17th, 2pm-5pm, for live music by Tom Rhodes.Tom lives outside of San Francisco, CA, but grew up around Loudon County playing in bars around Leesburg with Pete Thomas, Jake Phillips, and Mike Jewell. Since those days, he has released 9 albums, appeared on The Voice, had over 140 songs used in TV shows, movies, and commercials. He has received awards from the Song Writer Hall of Fame and played thousands of shows around the world.
6. "Painting" with Wool Garden Mushrooms @ The Clay and Metal Loft in Leesburg - Come learn how to "paint with wool" - Students will learn the basics of needle felting using wool on a flat surface to create fiber paintings. We will then be creating some fun funky mushrooms. No experience needed. Ages 14 & Up.
7. Create Playdate: Squirt Gun Painting @ Ashburn Library - Get creative outdoors with a make-and-take craft. We'll meet under the trees on the pond side of the library. The program will be canceled in case of rain or temperatures above 90 degrees. For Grades K-5.
8. Parent's Time Off! Shark Attack Workshop (5-12 Years) @ Kidcreate Studio Ashburn - This drop-off class is great for mommies, daddies or whoever wants a little break! Let your kids express their creativity while you enjoy some time to yourself. Your young artist will work on multiple projects using a variety of different art materials. Parent's Time Off is an extremely popular class – register early to ensure your child’s spot! Swim for your life! In this class, artists will create a giant shark portrait, using several different kinds of paint, foam, and more. Watch out for those teeth!
9. National Ice Cream Day @ Lucketts Community Center, Leesburg - Join us for National Ice Cream Day. We will serve yummy cold treats July 19th from 11 am to 1pm. Just drive up to the Ice Cream Cart in the parking lot of Lucketts Community Center. We will give you a treat!
10. Polo in the Park @ Morven Park, Leesburg - Polo in the Park is back! Celebrate the long-awaited end of pandemic restrictions with enjoyable evenings of Polo in the Park at Morven Park! The popular, family-friendly arena polo matches kick off on July 17 and will be held every Saturday night through August 21.
