Top 10 Events in Loudoun: June 27th - July 3rd

May June 27th - July 3rd


1. Celebrating Heroes: Concert in the Park @ Franklin Park Arts Center, Purcellville - Sit back and enjoy as we celebrate our heroes with classics from Superman, Star Wars, the Incredibles and Star Trek. Come out and dress up in your favorite superhero outfit in what will be a fun-filled family event! Bring your own blankets, chairs and picnic items. 


2.  Independence Day the Hillsboro Way! @ Old Stone School, Hillsboro - Enjoy outdoor concerts with music acts such as  Joey Bauer and the Waitress Band, The Talton Brothers Band and The Darby Brothers.  Lawn opens and festivities begin at 5 p.m.   Bring lawn blankets and picnic on the Gap Stage Green.  Food and beverage stands will be available. 


3. Truck'n America Purcellville presents: A Grand Opening Party! - Please join us on Sunday, June 27th, from 11am to 3pm, at our NEW-ish location to meet our team, check out our new showroom, and enjoy: A COMPLIMENTARY BBQ buffet by Smokin' Willy BBQ! LIVE MUSIC from Bluegrass band, the Knuckle Dusters! A LIVE DEMO by American Landmaster UTVs! Door prizes, giveaways and free TNA swag bags! A bake sale to benefit the Loudon County VFW! Cornhole, lawn games & more!


4. What's Cookin @ Lovettsville Community Center - (Ages 6-12) Are you ready to have some fun in the kitchen? Come make something delicious and then cool off by the pool! Please pack a nut-free lunch and a water bottle. Instructor: Denise Dant. 


5. Outdoor Movie Night In South Riding - “I do not make films primarily for children. I make them for the child in all of us, whether we be six or sixty.”- WALT DISNEY. Bring your kids and feel like a kid again yourself watching a movie outside on the BIG screen. Admission is FREE! Movies will start at sunset. Don’t forget your blanket or chairs. No alcohol please!


6. For Parents! - Wine Night @ Leesburg Animal Park - Join us at Leesburg Animal Park for a night of fun as we “wine down” from the week with Stone Tower Winery. Ticket pricing includes admission to the park, 1 glass of wine, a souvenir wine glass to take home, and animal feed for our animals. Enjoy your wine and meet some of our cool animal friends including our gibbons, Sylvia the sloth, goats and sheep, zebras, and many more! This is a 21 and up event only. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance.


7. 4th of July weekend Oyster Fest, Bluemont - Head down to Dirt farm the first weekend of every month for our oysters, shrimp, and crab cakes! 


8. Independence Day Festival in Brunswick - Join us as we celebrate America and our small-town patriotism at our first-ever, Independence Day Festival in Downtown Brunswick! This event features vendors, crafters, face painting, live music, a variety of food, and more. This year, we are featuring THE REAGAN YEARS in Square Corner Park from 1PM-5PM! Don't forget to bring a lawn chair! There is sure to be something for people of all ages to enjoy.


9. Star Spangled Sterling @ Sterling Community Center - Hang out with your fellow Sterlingites for an evening of fun and fireworks!


10. Take & Make: Summer Sun with Cascades Library - Create a cheery summer sun using a paper plate and other materials. Ask for supplies at the front desk of the library.
