What Mom Really Wants for Mother's Day

By Stefanie Egee May 3, 2017

Dear Dads (or Anyone that Wants to Recognize a Rockin’ Mom),

Mother's Day is coming up so I have made your life easier by jotting down a few ideas for WHAT MOM REALLY WANTS FOR MOTHER'S DAY. Moms, copy this url and paste it in email, text, wherever to send to a loved one with these three little letters: FYI.

So here it goes. What Mom Really Wants for Mother's Day.

A Clean House. Cleaned by Someone Else. Rescue Me Cleaning can hook you up. You don't even have to do it yourself or beg the kids to help you (which only results in a lot of complaining and a job that you'll have to do over again anyway). Save everyone's time and sanity and give her something that she has not the time or interest to do. EVER. Step away from the mediocre chocolates at Rite Aid and call Rescue Me now.

Food on the Table that She Did Not Have to Prepare. And not just on Mother's Day. While it is nice to be pampered on Mother’s Day, it is just one day out of 365 x 3 meals a day. You do the math. Again, there is help for this. The Wandering Chef delivers freshly prepared meals weekly that you just have to reheat. You can even put it in your own cookware and pretend you made it. No one will know and your marital net worth will sky rocket. Trust me on this one.

A Damn Good Work Out. Seriously, walking little Jimmy around the block in the super extra ultra-light stroller ain't cutting it. She needs calorie burning, fun, stress reducing workouts that work. Fitness Image Results has got the thing for you/her. No, she isn’t going to bite your head off for giving her a health gift that allows her do something for herself (for once). It really is for the good of all the people.

Family Photos. That She is Actually In. No, not on Mother's Day, as that would not be any fun for mom to orchestrate on her day. But a gift card for a photo session would be an amazing gift and one that will last a lifetime. Give her some pictures that your children can cherish forever that her hair is not a mess in and she isn’t wearing some part of the pajamas she slept in the night before. Some of my local favorites are Fluttering Shutter Photography, Second Ave Photography, Crystal Corona Photography and Rebecca Danzenbaker Photography. Do it. And remember to smile and wear whatever she tells you to on picture day.

That should about do it. Any - or all - of these gifts will make her day the best ever. Feel free to bookmark this page for future birthdays, holidays, and even the occasional My Wife is About to Lose it Days.  You're welcome.
