The camp programs at Red Gate Farm will give your child memories for a lifetime! We offer a variety of half and full-day camps throughout the summer. Camps are highly supervised and interactive, with lots of hands-on time with the horses, and other high-quality activities throughout the day. We are proud to be an award-winning camp, and the premier equine camp in Loudoun County conveniently located near Leesburg in Hamilton.
Our popular Horse Camp is an all-day program (with half day option) for children ages 6-14. No horse experience is necessary, and riders are grouped by ability and age. The children are taught to take care of their horse, including grooming, feeding, bathing, saddling, and cleaning stalls. They learn horse safety, the parts of the horse, and different breeds and colors. Riders will experience a long mounted lesson each day, a trail ride, pony games, and a horse photo session. The camp also includes supervised swimming on site to cool off at the end of the day, and fun crafts such as decorating horse t-shirts and creating a horse shoe garden stepping stone.
Pre-school camp is an afternoon camp for ages 3-6 and is a gentle introduction to horses as described above, with grooming, saddling, a craft, and a mounted lesson each day.

$25 registration fee additional, which is good for the entire summer.

Campers may borrow helmets and riding boots for no additional charge. Campers bring bathing suit and towel, as well as lunch each day. All snacks are provided by the camp, including fruit, crackers, and our freshly made soft-serve ice cream and real fruit slushies. Fridays include a lunch pizza party and a horse costume parade for parents at the end of the day.
